Australian Open Recap

The 2019 Australian Open finished with no American women in any finales, but showed a growing group of young women advancing further than ever before. There appears to be great hope in the future of women’s tennis in the U.S. with the rising of singles players like Danielle Collins and Madison Keys, and doubles (women’s and mixed) players Alison Riske, Jennifer Brady, Raquel Atawo and Nicole Melichar.

There are also the up-and-coming juniors players Chloe Beck and Emma Navarro, who made it to the Junior Girls Doubles finals. There is certainly a bright future for the Duke-bound teenagers.
