CHRISTINA MCHALE might seem old at the age of 22 because she made her mark on the tennis circuit when she was only 17. She can also hold her own when speaking Mandarin Chinese that she learned when her family lived in China!

In 2009 Christina started her tennis career by being granted a wildcard into the main draw of the 2009 Australian Open. Although she lost in the first round, she made a definite statement as someone to watch. She won her first career Grand Slam and WTA match that same year in the main draw of the US Open, but lost to Maria Sharapova in the second round.

Not only has Christina competed in the WTA and ITF top tier tournaments where she has beaten numerous WTA tour players, she has also qualified for each Grand Slam event since 2011.  In 2012 she competed in all four Grand Slam events and the U.S. Olympics in London!  She continued her remarkable Grand Slam run in 2013 by again competing in the Australian, French, Wimbledon and US Open events.  2014 found her in the Australian and French Open draws so   look for her at Wimbledon and the US Open as well! She may not always be in the winner’s circle but she certainly makes herself visible!
