Samantha Crawford is a nineteen year old tennis player from Atlanta, Georgia. She burst onto the tennis scene in 2012 when she won the U.S. Open Girls’ Singles title. She went on to receive a wildcard into the 2012 U.S. Open-Women’s Single Qualifying competition, which she also won. She then competed for a spot in the main draw winning in three sets. In her first women’s grand slam main draw appearance, Samantha lost to fellow teenager and number one ranked female British phenom, Laura Robson. In 2013, she reached her best singles ranking of world number 218, and in early 2014 she peaked at world number 282 in the doubles rankings. She is looking forward to her Summer challenges!
