With the Paralympic Games starting next Friday, March 7th, we’re thrilled to let you know who has been named to the US team of the athletes we’ve featured here on MFA:

Tatyana McFadden – Para-Skiing (Week 15)
Heidi Jo Duce – Para-Snowboarding (Week 24)
Amy Purdy – Para-Snowboarding (Week 30)
Alana Nichols – We didn’t feature her but we should have. She is a two-sport athlete. Basketball AND alpine skiing! She won the gold medal in wheelchair basketball in 2008 in Beijing and she’s a 4-time medalist (2 Gold, silver and bronze) at the 2010 Games in Vancouver. She is going for the gold again in Sochi!

We wish them luck! Remember to watch the Games March 7-16. We’ll keep you posted here as well!
