Marketing Female Athletes will be spotlighting athletes in different sports leading up to the 2014 Olympics in Sochi, Russia. Some of them you may have already heard about but there definitely will be many whom you’ve never heard about until here and now!

WEEK 1

We would first like to introduce you to Ashley Wagner, a 22-year old figure skater born in Germany and raised in Alexandria, Virginia.

Among her most recent accomplishments, Ashley is the 2012 Four Continents champion, 2012 Grand Prix Final silver medalist, 2012 Skate America champion, 2012 Trophée Eric Bompard champion, 2012 and 2013 U.S. national champion. Her highest World Championship placement is fourth in 2012. She came to our attention in 2010 when she placed third at the Olympic trials, where the top two made the Vancouver team. She’s since become the class of U.S. ladies figure skating and is a medal contender for 2014.

Ashley decided to choose figure skating over ballet because she didn’t like pink shoes! Team USA is happy she did!

Stay tuned as Marketing Female Athletes brings you all the must-watch athletes for the Sochi Olympics.
